ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES
The residency is designed to support the development of:
– New or substantially developed artistic research projects
– Clarified research questions and propositions
– Expanded artistic and methodological practices
– Performances, compositions, recordings, installations, scores, systems, or other research materials
– Research presentations and lectures
– Critical and contextual writing
– Methodological documentation
– Multimodal research expositions
– Public presentations at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week
– Contributions potentially suitable for publication consideration
– International research relationships and collaborative possibilities
– New dialogue among artistic practice, critical reflection, and public discourse
The precise outcome of each project will depend on its research question, artistic form, stage of development, methodological structure, and intended audience.
The residency does not require every participant to produce an identical output. A project may culminate in a developed artistic method, a public lecture, a performance-based exposition, a refined research question, a documented experiment, a critical essay, a publication proposal, or a combination of these forms.
Research development is recognized not only through finished products, but also through:
– More precise articulation of a problem
– Revision of an inadequate method
– Identification of previously unexamined assumptions
– Better understanding of a project’s historical and institutional context
– Discovery of new artistic or conceptual possibilities
– Clarification of ethical responsibilities
– Transformation of documentation practices
– Formation of a sustainable future research trajectory
A project may therefore be meaningfully advanced even when its inquiry continues beyond the residency.
