APPLICATION:
The enuntiatio.praefatio.formulae residency program brings together researchers from across the globe, each pursuing an independent artistic research project. The program provides a framework for presenting research, receiving feedback from peers and mentors, and learning from the diverse approaches of colleagues working across different areas of music and sound-based practice.
The residency emphasizes exchange, reflection, and discovery rather than a single collaborative outcome. Participants are exposed to a wide range of artistic research themes and practices, expanding their perspectives and establishing connections that may develop into future collaborations. They also benefit from being part of an international network of researchers, enhancing the visibility of their work within a broader artistic context.
The program culminates in research presentations at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week in Bled, Slovenia, professionally documented and recorded, alongside access to the Artistic Research & Ensemble Laboratory — a space available throughout the festival week for experimentation, improvisation, and exploratory work with .abeceda [new music ensemble] and guest performers.
Selected researchers will also be invited to submit a proposal for publication in Tempo: The Quarterly Review of New Music published by Wolke Verlag, dedicated to contemporary music and current musical discourse through essays, interviews, analytical texts, and reviews. Final selection will be made jointly by the enuntiatio.praefatio.formulae and Tempo editorial teams.
